About me

Hi, I’m Kati

For almost 20 years, I've had the privilege of supporting private healthcare professionals, consultants and GPs with their day-to-day medical secretarial and business support needs, and I truly feel that I have found my passion. Throughout my career, I've learned that good medical administration and business support are about much more than managing diaries, answering emails or typing reports. It's about building trust, treating every patient with respect and providing calm, dependable support so healthcare professionals can focus on delivering excellent patient care. I value kindness, compassion and professionalism, and that is how I choose to conduct myself every day.

Originally from Estonia, I moved to the UK at the age of 19 to volunteer full-time for a charity through the European Voluntary Service programme. I wanted to challenge myself, experience something different and improve my English, which had always been my favourite subject at school and a country I had always wanted to visit. Those ten months were some of the best of my life and taught me so much about myself, the importance of helping others, working as part of a team and adapting to new situations – qualities that have stayed with me throughout my career. During my final few months of volunteering, I met my now husband just before I was due to return to Estonia, and the rest, as they say, is history. I feel incredibly grateful to call the UK my home.

After my volunteering placement, I began my career in healthcare administration, working across a private medical centre, general practice (GP), occupational health, musculoskeletal services and a variety of other healthcare settings. Over the years, I progressed from Medical Secretary to Administrative Team Leader and was trusted on three occasions to oversee the day-to-day operation of the health centre during management transitions. Today, I work remotely as a Senior Remote Medical Secretary and Practice Support Specialist, supporting a private GP and Medical Director.

I understand the realities of running a busy private practice. Whether I'm managing patient enquiries, preparing medical correspondence, coordinating clinics or supporting practice improvements, my aim is to become a trusted extension of your practice rather than simply an external Virtual Assistant.

Supporting medical professionals who put their patients first, helping others, and leading with kindness, calm and genuine care are what give me the greatest job satisfaction. If I sound like the person you're looking for, I'd love to hear from you.
